Cancellation & Damage Policies

At Kibtzu, we know plans can change — and we aim to keep things fair for everyone. The following policies apply to all bookings made through our platform, unless otherwise stated in writing by Kibtzu.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made:

  • 5 or more full days before the booking start time → Full refund (excluding service fees)
  • Less than 5 days before booking start time → No refund
  • Before booking is accepted → No charges or fees
  • Service fees are non-refundable.

If a host needs to cancel, renters will receive a full refund, and we’ll do our best to help you find a similar listing. To cancel a booking, contact us at support@kibtzu.com.

Damage & Liability Policy

Renters are expected to return spaces and items in the condition they were received. If damage or loss occurs:

  • The renter is financially responsible for repair or replacement.
  • The host must document and report the issue within 24 hours of the rental period ending.
  • Kibtzu is not a party to disputes and does not reimburse either side.

We encourage both parties to:

  • Take clear photos before and after
  • Communicate respectfully
  • Consider renter’s or homeowner’s insurance where relevant

Our Role

We:

  • Verify email and payment info
  • *Monitor reports of misconduct
  • Enforce our platform rules
  • Suspend or remove harmful users or listings

Your Role

Please:

  • Communicate through the Kibtzu platform only
  • Respect the spaces and items you use
  • Leave honest reviews
  • Report any issues or inappropriate behavior promptly

Not Allowed

  • Dangerous, illegal, or misleading listings
  • Off-platform payments or agreements
  • Harassment, discrimination, or privacy violations
  • Posting images with human faces or bodies, even clothed
  • All users must follow these rules to maintain a respectful environment.
