Guidelines for Listers

Welcome to Kibtzu! Please review these guidelines to ensure a smooth and secure experience for you and your renters.

1. Platform Use & Liability

  • Kibtzu acts only as a facilitator and is not liable for damages, cancellations, or disputes.

  • Listers are solely responsible for determining any tax obligations and including any applicable taxes in their listed price. Kibtzu does not calculate, collect, or remit taxes on your behalf.

  • All communication, bookings, and payments must remain on Kibtzu. - Using Kibtzu to advertise and then completing transactions off-platform is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.

  • Use Kibtzu messages to arrange pickup, delivery, and drop-off — there is no separate system for this.

  • Important: For both listers and renters, all communication—including pickup, delivery, and drop-off arrangements—must happen through Kibtzu’s messaging system. This ensures that your booking is documented and protected through our platform's policies. Any coordination off-platform means you are not protected and could risk suspension of your account.

2. Earnings & Fees

  • Kibtzu only takes an 8% commission from your rental price, with a minimum of $3 per transaction. Your listed price should already include any applicable taxes.

  • This fee is lower than most marketplaces, allowing you to earn more while Kibtzu handles the marketing, payments, and support. Minimum fees ensure that even small rentals can be processed securely and reliably.

3. Photos & Listings

  • Use clean, high-resolution photos. Bright, clear images create trust and attract more bookings.

  • Absolutely no people in images — no faces, hands, or body parts. Photos must show only the item or space. Listings that include human body parts may be removed, and accounts may be suspended.

  • Choose the closest matching category. If none fit, contact us for guidance.

  • Some listing fields or checkboxes may not apply to your item or space. If they don’t apply, simply skip them.

4. Items Not Allowed

  • Adult clothing, including shoes. Accessories are fine.
  • Items that are illegal, unsafe, or violate Kibtzu’s Trust & Safety Guidelines.
  • Items not in proper working condition

5. Quality & Accuracy

  • Ensure your listing is accurate, available, and in proper condition at the time of booking.

  • Complete your Lister Rules & Requirements clearly so renters know what to expect.
